University Square Hotel - Fresno

I loved it, have never been in a better hotel. I was happy with venue's unbeatable and comfy location on the tub area. Location: the hotel was so close to restaurants, stores and restaurants, and Kings canyon.

the unit we got was extremely spacious with double bed and the refrigerator plus a whirlpool tub.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness; it felt outdated and neglected. However, the breakfast was decent, and I appreciated the picnic area outside. I wouldn't return here.

That we only stayed one night!

Well my wife and I booked a room which we thought was a king room and the confirmation we got was that it was a king room, but when we got into the room we found out otherwise. As we were checking in the attendant could not find our booking and even questioned if we had the right hotel which we did! So after 5 mins of constant coughing and sniffing by the attendant he finally found my booking, yay! He said everything was in order and gave us directions to the room, sweet we thought. Once we walked into the room we saw that it was a double queen room, hang on a minute that is not what we ordered. So I went back to the reception and asked the dude what was up? He proceeded to tell me that all the kings were booked yes I said I know I booked one. He proceeds to tell me they are over booked. Well I say couldn't you have told me that when I booked it or at the very least when you are checking us in? ah ah ah aaaa, you booked through a third party he tells me. So do I get a discount as I thought I was paying for a king and now we (both of us over 6 feet tall) are in a queen? No he says but you can cancel your booking and find another hotel with a king. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! We just got into town, we are from out of town and have to be at a concert in an hour what are we supposed to do? Long story short we stayed the night and ate the worst buffet breakfast we had ever had and got the hell out of Fresno.

A Comfortable Stay with Great Connectivity

The free WiFi was a major plus for our family. Opt for one of the nearby restaurants for good meals. A locked gate offered great peace of mind. Ensure to check your key cards if you extend your stay!
